Arizona Daily Star Guest Opinion – Pima County leads the way on fighting climate change

On Nov. 4, 2019, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo notified the United Nations that the United States was pulling out of the Paris Agreement on climate change. The process for withdrawal takes exactly one year, so one day after the 2020 election, the United States will become the only country on the planet not part of the global effort to slow, halt or reverse climate change. Arizona Daily Star – Pima County passes ‘landmark’ 10-year policy to repair roads over next decade

The Pima County Board of Supervisors last week approved a “landmark” policy for funding capital infrastructure projects, which will primarily be used to improve roads in unincorporated Pima County over the next decade.

Green Valley News – County approves road repair funds

Pima County residents will be getting a boost to road repairs after the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the pay-as-you-go revenue policy as well as $10 million on Tuesday morning.
